Wheezer's Notes: The Mourning Dove is a quiet, peaceful bird. Feathers are always neatly combed. Doves are attracted, primarily, to ground feeders.
|
Range: Mourning Doves are plentiful throughout the United States as indicated on map at right. The beige color indicates states in which the latest Breeding Bird Survey counted at least some areas of concentrations of Mourning Doves in excess of 100. This information is from the USGS Patuxent Bird Identification Center |
